Getting beneficial, raw goat milk is steps away...
In the state of Colorado, a person must own a "share" of a dairy animal to legally obtain raw milk. The good news is it's pretty simple!
Through our ranch you buy a membership to lease a share of our goat herd. This amount is a flat rate, $40 per year. This share is valid for the year's milk season, typically about May through October.
Once this amount is paid you then pay a weekly 'boarding fee' that covers the cost of feed, care and labor for milking, feeding, sanitizing, etc. This amount varies, depending on the amount of milk you wish to pick up each week.
$14/week for a 1/2 gallon
$9/week for a quart
You choose a day of the week (Sunday - Thursday) for weekly pick-up. Milk is ready on your day for pick-up, at your convivence, between 11 am and 7 pm. We understand that life can be hectic at times, so please let us know if something comes up. We will do our best to work with you. Because we work to provide the freshest milk to our customers, any milk not picked up or otherwise arranged for by the 2nd day will be donated back to our herd (fed to bottle babies, etc.).
We ask that you rinse and return your weekly bottle(s) so we can sanitize and reuse them. Replacement bottles can be purchased for $7 (qt) or $9 (1/2 gal). Like most small ranches, our margins are very tight, so we appreciate your understanding here.
