Poultry and Eggs
Renewed Roots Ranch offers a variety of poultry, including Cornish Cross meat chickens, heritage breed turkeys as well as eggs. As with all of our livestock, we deeply value the ability of an animal to express natural behaviors. That varies amongst our poultry, from our lively flock of egg laying hens to our regal (and often absurdly silly) heritage turkeys. Our meat birds are raised in a mobile tractor, allowing them access to fresh grass but keeping them safe from hungry predators. Our heritage turkeys, who are agile and able to fly, live completely free range. Do they help keep down the grasshopper population? Yes. Do they also eat our flowers and occasionally scare away delivery drivers? Also yes.
Both chicken and turkey eggs are available for purchase.
Chicken eggs are available for pick up at the ranch for $5/dozen (payment may be made via cash or Venmo).
Limited delivery spots (within our travel radius in Wellington) are available for $6/dozen. Deliveries are made each Friday, bringing farm fresh eggs directly to your doorstop. Pay weekly or monthly, whatever is most convenient for you.
Turkey eggs are $1/each when available. Turkey eggs are larger than chicken eggs but deliver a nearly identical flavor.

Pasture raised whole chickens available. Our birds are raised on pasture, with dirt and grass and bugs available to scratch, roll and lay in. They live life as a chicken should, able to exhibit natural behaviors. The difference shows - the meat is fresh and flavorful!

Holiday reservations are now OPEN for our free range, pasture raised heritage turkeys! This incredibly flavorful meat is completely antibiotic and hormone free, raised under the Colorado sun. Each bird is hand processed and available fresh or frozen in time for the holidays.
